Beginning Wednesday, June 25 Upper Bull Gap Trail from the Mount Ashland Lodge to the Lower Bull Gap trailhead (start of the singletrack climb) will be closed to prepare for and begin work on the Mt. A-line jump line trail. With this in mind we will be making two drops for each of our shuttles. The first will be at Bull Gap Snowpark (mile 7 of the Mt. Ashland Ski Rd.) From here- after approx 2 miles, downhill, on a dirt road- riders will be able to access the trail system beginning with Lower Bull Gap Trail. The second will be in the back lot of the Mt. Ashland parking area for those that want to access Time Warp Trail.
FAQ:
What is Mt. A-Line? Check out this link for more information.
What trails will I be able to ride? All of Ashland’s glorious singletrack will still be open for riding. The ONLY section being closed is the Fire Road descent from the Lodge to Bull Gap Trailhead.
Are there other routes down from the lodge to Bull Gap trailhead? The fire road from Bull Gap Snow Park is the only sanctioned option.
How long will these trail closures be in effect? The projected finish date is August 3.
What’s the fireroad from Mt. Ashland Ski Rd to Bull Gap Trailhead like? It’s all down/flat and fairly well maintained. It’s a less technical ride than the fire road from the lodge.
Is Time Warp open for riding yet? At the time of writing there the Time Warp descent is free of snow. However, there is still snow that requires walking between the Rabbit Ears parking lot (TW trailhead) and the beginning of the descent. We expect it to be free of snow before the end of June. Stay tuned.
We appreciate your attention to this. While this may be a minor inconvenience for some of our riders in the short term, the end result will be well worth it!

Beginning Saturday, May 31 we will be dropping at the Mt. Ashland Ski Lodge. Please note there are a few snow patches you’ll have to ride or walk through and one tree down between the Offshoot junction and Bull Gap. We hope to get the tree out of the way by Saturday afternoon.
Beginning May we will no longer be dropping at Corp Camp but at Bull Gap SnoPark at mile 7 of the Mt. Ashland Ski Road. There are currently roughly eight patches of snow a few inches deep and 10 to 15 feet long- and easy to blast through. From the drop point it’s approximately 2 downhill miles on a dirt road to the Lower Bull Gap Trailhead.
We’re hopeful to be dropping at the Mt. Ashland Lodge by next weekend- stay tuned!

Our projected opening day is May 10, 2025. Booking is currently open- start making your plans. We will keep an eye on the weather forecast and make adjustments if necessary.
